Techneos™ Systems Inc. today announces the release of Entryware™ 6.0 software for mobile survey automation. Entryware 6.0 is a robust suite of software tools for creating, deploying and conducting questionnaires using handheld computers, tablet PCs and touch-screen kiosks.
The most significant addition to Entryware 6.0 is a new data collection product, Entryware Mobile for Microsoft® Windows®, which supports both face-to-face interviews and self-completed surveys using almost any Windows-based computer. Building on Techneos' longstanding reputation as the gold standard for handheld surveys, Entryware now supports multi-modal deployment of questionnaires to a broad range of form factors—from the smallest Palm OS® device to the latest in Windows XP computers.
Entryware 6.0 is a highly scalable survey system for collecting customer feedback when and where it is most relevant: at the point-of-experience. Entryware automates the entire data collection process, from questionnaire design to provision of top-line reports and exporting of analysis-ready data. Available in three editions—Standard, Professional and Enterprise—Entryware can be configured to conduct surveys using a few devices at a single location, or a few thousand devices around the globe. Entryware allows research managers to design questionnaires of virtually unlimited size and complexity, and to hide that power behind an elegant mobile interface that requires almost no training at the field level.
Entryware 6.0 supports both wireless and wireline connection, and does not require mobile users to maintain an Internet connection during data collection. Wireless users, such as those running Palm OS® or Pocket PC® Smartphones on a GPRS network, can conduct surveys at any time, and then connect to an Entryware Server portal on an as-needed basis to submit response data and retrieve any new or modified questionnaires. Based on the robust functionality of previous Entryware versions, Entryware 6.0 adds these key new features:
- Multi-media interviewing, including video playback (Windows only), audio capture, audio playback and image display
- Suspend/resume functionality to retain full state information for multiple open surveys
- Localizable interface for single- or double-byte character sets
- Powerful built-in scripting language that can be extended using VBScript® and JScript® (Windows only)
- Export to Remark Office OMR®, Quantum™ and card column formats
Entryware 6.0 also supports the SPSS® Base and Dimensions™ platforms, enabling integration with a broad range of tools for questionnaire authoring, data collection, reporting and analysis. Entryware data can be exported to other file formats as well, including Microsoft Excel®, Microsoft Access™, tab-delimited and fixed field ASCII.
