Intrawest Leisure and Travel Group is a winner of the Technology in Tourism Award at the 7^th Annual British Columbia Tourism Industry Awards, sponsored by Telus. This award recognizes a person or company who has implemented technology in an innovative way to enable their tourism business to succeed in British Columbia, thereby enhancing the provincial tourism industry.

Using technology through Techneos^® Systems, Intrawest is able to capture contact and demographic information and customer feedback-without inconveniencing customers. By capturing previously anonymous visitors' information through the use of surveys, Intrawest is able to establish communication with its visitors, resulting in the ability to promote relevant messages, raise awareness of other vacationing possibilities and promote future repeat business. Two survey kiosks increased the company's contacts ten-fold, collecting 2,200 contacts in two months.
